Kunal Bakshi on receiving Best Actor award for Shani: I am speechless
For actor Kunal Bakshi, awards are a great way for the audience to show their appreciation for his work. The actor recently received an award in the Best Actor category for Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s ‘Karmaphaldata Shani’ at the 6th Bengal Youth Awards in Kolkata. “I am speechless, I can’t express my feelings right now. I am feeling so good and I want to thank the almighty and my parents for all their blessings and good wishes. I am so grateful to the audience for loving our show and me in it,” he says.
He adds, “Not just for an actor but for every artist awards means appreciation, respect and acceptability from the people. It makes working hard seem worth it. When we get awards, we get the feeling of self-belief. It’s the love of audience and guiding force to keep us motivated.”
Ask him who he would like to dedicate this award to, and he says, “I would love to dedicate this award to Siddharth sir and Rahul (Kumar Tewary, co-producer) sir for showing so much of belief in me. I will always be thankful to Swastik productions for Shani because Shani is very close to my heart. I was with the show from the first to the last shot.”
Kunal adds that he loves working with both Siddharth and Rahul. “Working with Siddharth sir and Rahul sir is like working with family. I feel like I am in my house. We are also close-knit and comfortable with each other. I love my Swastik family very much,” he says.
