By Gossips Tv : Television actress Erica Fernandes recently opened up about a violent past relationship, revealing how it left a lasting impact on her life. In a candid conversation on Shardul Pandit’s podcast, Erica shared that watching Kriti Sanon’s film Do Patti triggered painful memories from her past.
Erica disclosed that she had endured physical abuse in a relationship but chose to remain silent, fearing media trials and the repercussions of going public. “If you go to the cops, it’ll be all over the media, and then there’s a media trial,” she explained, adding that she doesn’t have much faith in the judicial system.
The Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 actress shared how society often questions women who choose to speak out about abuse, labeling them as attention-seekers. “This is why women don’t speak out. They get targeted and asked why they stayed silent for so long,” she said.
Erica, who has been single for a long time, admitted that moving on from past trauma wasn’t easy. “This baggage, the trust issues, the heartbreak—it took years for me to come out of it and talk about it,” she revealed.
Her bravery in sharing her story sheds light on the struggles many women face, highlighting the need for greater awareness and support for survivors of abuse.
