By Gossips TV : Zee TV’s popular show Jaagritii, starring Vijayendra Kumeria and Rachana Mistry, is all set to go off-air next month. According to well placed sources ‘the channel and makers have mutually decided to pull the plug on the show after closely monitoring its performance over the past few weeks.’
As reported earlier by us, Jaagritii had been under the scanner due to inconsistent TRP figures. While there was strong initial buzz suggesting that the show might be shifted to a later time slot, possibly 11 pm, sources now confirm that the team has chosen to conclude the journey instead of opting for a slot change. The decision has reportedly been taken to ensure the story wraps up neatly, allowing the makers to give the show a proper and satisfying ending.
With Jaagritii making its exit, Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile will move into its slot. Additionally, Lakshmi Niwas is slated to take over the 8 pm slot currently occupied by Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile starting January 12. This reshuffle marks a strategic programming change for Zee TV as the channel gears up for the new year lineup.
Sources further add that the cast and crew of Jaagritii are expected to wrap up shooting within the next few days. The final episode is scheduled to air on January 9, bringing the show’s run to a close. An official confirmation from the channel is still awaited, but all indications point toward a planned and timely wrap-up rather than an abrupt exit.
