The episode begins with Aparajita stopping Lalit and removing her nuptial chain. She says Lalit made that nuptial chain into a leash around her neck. And he ruined her happiness and self-respect. She tells Lalit that she was with him in a cage, not a home. So she is setting herself free by ending their relationship. Her family gets shocked hearing this. Malti tells Aparajita that it’s wrong to humiliate a husband in front of everyone. Ramgopal asks Aparajita what wrong Lalit did.
Lalit tells them he just fought with Aparajita. He apologized to Aparajita. He promises to not make any mistake in the future. Aparajita screams, “Stop!” She tells him that she will move ahead, leaving the injuries he has given her. Malti tells Aparajita, “Let’s talk about it at home.” Avinash tells Aparajita that small fights happen in relationships. Aradhya tells Aparajita that there are even fights that happen between her and Rohan.
Aparajita says she was silent till now, thinking about what would happen if everyone learned she ended her relationship with her husband. And that’s why she learned to hide her tears and suppress her emotions. She tells Malti that she tolerated everything because she wanted to be a good wife. And now she is ready to face any consequences, but she will not be beaten by Lalit. She reveals Lalit has been beating her for the last four years. She says he used to beat her sometimes with words, sometimes with his hands and sometimes with his legs. Her family gets shocked hearing this.
Aparajita tells her family that Lalit took a loan using her name, and she faced creditors’ insults. She says she got married to Lalit, but he snatched everything from her. Ramgopal asks Lalit what Aparajita is saying. Lalit tells Ramgopal not to misunderstand him. He says he took a loan to keep Aparajita happy. But he failed in business. He asks how a wife can leave a husband just because he is unsuccessful in business. He tells them Aparajita is lying about four years.
Rashmi says Aparajita is not someone who leaves her loved ones during their difficult times. So Lalit is a liar. And Aparajita tolerated everything to save the relationship. Lalit warns Rashmi not to interfere without knowing anything. Aparajita tells Lalit to shut up. She says she won’t tolerate Rashmi’s insult. She tells Malti how Lalit abused her when she wore a saree.
Lalit asks when he slapped Aparajita. He begs Aparajita to end it all. Aparajita tells him this relationship is over. Ramgopal asks her why she did not tell them about it earlier. Aparajita tells him she sent them a letter, but Lalit exchanged it. Lalit tries to drag Aparajita from there. But Malti stops Lalit. She warns Lalit to leave Aparajita’s hand. Ramgopal tells Aparajita that he will be her shield. Lalit tells them he is Aparajita’s husband and no one can stop him from taking Aparajita with him. Avinash threatens Lalit not to go near Aparajita. He pushes Lalit, saying Lalit doesn’t deserve to be Aparajita’s husband.
Lalit tells them that society won’t respect divorced women. And Aparajita will be a burden to them. Ramgopal tells Lalit that he brought up Aparajita and he can take care of her in the future too. Malti says Aparajita is not a burden on anyone. And she did not give anyone rights to beat her daughter. Aparajita asks Lalit whether he expected his family to beg him. She says society should change. A divorced daughter is better than a dead daughter. Ramgopal says his daughter can come to her parents’ house anytime. Bua scolds Lalit. Aradhya tells Lalit to leave from there. Lalit runs from there.
Ramgopal tells Aparajita that her father is alive still. Aparajita thanks them. She says she needs their support to learn to live alone. Ramgopal tells her that they are with her.

Our take: Aparajita exposed Lalit in front of her family. And she got her family’s support, which is great. Hope that will continue and they don’t get manipulated by Lalit in the future. Lalit won’t divorce. Aparajita easily, and his family entry is pending still, so anything can happen. Rakshit needs his family’s support. And his family’s real faces will be revealed when they learn Aparajita is a married woman.
