By Anil Merani: Good-looking TV actor Kanwar Dhillon is in a big soup and is responsible for it.
His unexpected statement about not having immediate marriage plans with his girlfriend and Bigg Boss contestant 18 Alice Kaushik has shocked many.
Bigg Boss also waded into the mire, and host Salman Khan told Alice the same, who broke down because she had boasted in the house that Kanwar had popped the question. The media then asked Kanwar’s reaction, to which he uttered the above no immediate plans line.
The public’s reaction to Kanwar’s backtrack, claiming that he only said what he did because no formal marriage talk had occurred, has been intense.
Strange, Kanwar spoke like this; their PR team would have briefed them about what to say. Alice must have discussed the proposal point with the team, which is the usual next step in any relationship, so he can’t be as shocked as he claimed.
Angry social media Alice fans are reading too much into this and saying that Kanwar has shown his true colours and was never interested in Alice. The couple had met during the shoot of the show Pandya Store.
Others suggest this might be Kanwar’s sPR ploy to get attention back to Alice in Bigg Boss 18. The convo in the house revolves around Vivian Dsena and Karanveer Mehra. Avinash Mishra and Eisha Singh are also in the limelight due to a possible connection.

Kanwar has a habit of talking too much. A while back, he posted an Instagram joke about a bald man for which he was later forced to apologise. Political correctness is the need of the hour. No wonder most actors are very careful about what they post.
He had recently fought with former Bigg Boss 10 contestant Manu Punjabi, who had taken a dig at Alice in his blog.
Interestingly, Aly Goni, too, has jumped into the fray and supported Alice, saying Kanwar should have supported Alice. He further supports the conspiracy theory by saying he should have waited till her exit before talking to her.
Kanwar fans will not be pleased with Aly’s statement and might interpret it as his way of earning some brownie points. Out of media glare, Aly and his girlfriend Jasmin Bhasin had taken part in Bigg Boss14.
Some fans feel this is a plan to facilitate Kanwar’s entry into Bigg Boss as a wild card, but that is impossible as he is doing a lead show on a rival channel.
Kanwar hopes that Din dies down soon, for he is getting a lot of female ire, and you can’t anger the fair sex and survive in Tellyland.
I hope for his sake Alice does not take this too seriously, for if she does, it might spell trouble for their relationship.
