Colors TV aired the same segment, triggering a social media storm among Karanveer’s fans, some of whom even involved the authorities.
It would be interesting to see how Salman addresses the matter in Weekend Ka Vaar, as this issue is quite sensitive.
Fans might demand that she be sent home, but still, we are in the grey area as no violence was done.
To be fair to Alice, she didn’t mean any harm! We often utter such stuff in the heat of the moment, but then we don’t act on our thoughts.
And contestants are locked in with no outside contact, so you tend to snap. Karanveer Mehra is not helping matters with his game, which he is entitled to.
But sadly for Alice, the cameras and microphones picked it up, and a private convo between her, Avinash Mishra and Eisha Singh became public. Some might say she should restrain herself from learning about the camera, but after some time, you forget about the surveillance.
Should Bigg Boss 18 not exercise self-restraint and not show it, as it can invite trouble for Alice?
Still, they are legally safe, for they have not edited what she said. And, all said and done, this kind of content is just what the doctor ordered for Bigg Boss 18.
Can this also lead to legal trouble for Alice if someone outside files a police complaint, as what she has said is on record? I don’t know the law, so I can’t say anything more about it.
Karanveer Mehra’s team will not do any such thing for typical contracts and should prohibit such possibility.
I am sure Alice must have later realized the gravity of the situation and must have spoken to Bigg Boss to douse the flames.
Bigg Boss is a mind game, and one who can keep control stays ahead. Alice faltered in this regard.
However, this might help Alice in terms of buzz, as any positive or negative talk helps. But it still cuts the sympathy factor she had gained after her boyfriend Kanwar Dhillon said he had not planned to marry her. Though he went on to clarify later, the damage was done.
Bigg Boss18 is also heavily influenced by social media buzz. It will be fascinating to see how Team Alice attempts to steer the narrative in her favour in the coming days, with the audience playing a significant role in this process.
