Anchal Sahu in contention for female lead in Colors’ Moun Ragam alongside Shakti Arora

By Gossips TV : Colors TV’s upcoming show Moun Ragam has been making headlines for quite some time due to continuous behind-the-scenes developments. Earlier, Gossips TV exclusively reported that the show had hit a delay after the makers decided to scrap the initial pilot and promo. Sources revealed that despite significant progress – including a filmed promo and multiple episodes – the entire material was shelved, prompting the team to restart the project from scratch.

In a major casting shake-up, lead actress Bhavika Sharma was reportedly dropped from the show. The decision was said to be based on the belief that the character did not fully align with her performance, even though she had already completed initial shooting commitments.

Now, the makers have begun the search for a new female lead. According to reports, Anchal Sahu – last seen in Parineetii – has emerged as a strong contender for the role and has already participated in a mock shoot. Alongside her, Pranali Rathod is also believed to have undergone a mock test for the project.

While the final decision on the female lead remains pending, Shakti Arora continues to stay on board as the male lead. Production has reportedly resumed, with current shoots involving child artists.

The show is now targeting a June premiere, marking a fresh start after its creative reset. With new casting possibilities in discussion and the storyline being rebuilt, Moun Ragam remains one of the closely watched upcoming projects on Colors TV.
