TV Soap Badho Bahu (produced by Sunny Side Up Dipti Kalwani and Humtum Telefilm’s Sushant Kumar and Teena Swwayam) actors talk about Holi and share their memories.

Arhaan Khan – Holi is the festival of colors. To this day, I have fond memories of my childhood where we used to wait for Holi to play with colors and burst water balloons on people walking by. It was so much fun. This year I plan to play a little with my loved ones followed by a nice elaborate lunch. I would like to tell my fans to play Holi, have loads of fun, but at the same time be responsible.

Jaya Ojha – Holi is my favourite festival, full of colours and life and so am I. I have been in the hostel for 7-8 years and there, Holi used to be full of  masti and damal! Our Holi used to start in the morning itself around 5-6 a.m playing colo  rs. I can never forget those days. After marriage also the first Holi was the best. Now we play Holi in the daytime and in the evening we have a musical party.
Shagun Pandey – Holi brings colour n brightness in life. For me, it’s been 2 years in the TV industry. This Holi my parents will be here, my mother especially is going to be here in Mumbai for the first time. My complete family celebrates Holi, chacha, Chachi, maa, papa, sister n my cousins This is going to be fun and happening plus it’s my parents anniversary as well! My father used to take us to the market and he also used to decide what all could be interesting! Holi is a special time of the year to remember who are close to hearts with splashing colours.
Roopa Ganguly – Last year I had a nice time on Holi, it was my first Holi in Bombay. We went to this Holi bash. Well, Holi has mixed memories and lot of perverts take advantage as well. And they use, ‘Bura na mano Holi hai’ to their advantage. I think that’s why a lot of women have experienced not so happy memories on Holi. I wish these people would just back off and let the festival be as happy as it should be for everyone. A very colourful and happy Holi! Please stay safe and make it happy for the neighbours too.
Sangeeta Panwar – We used to celebrate Holi in Meerut with all the family members, where we used to make bhang pakodas, papads and have lots of fun. We used to come together in a Mandir to play colours, dance and have fun. This year, I am going to celebrate Holi in Mumbai. Once, in Meerut when my husband was drinking, he also gave our dog Ally, some bhang to drink. He was very drunk that time. It was so funny. We used to have so much fun in Meerut. I just want to say enjoy the festival of colours forgetting all the bad memories!
Antara Banerjee – Being a bong, Chachad refer Holi as “Dol Yatra” which starts “Chachad Purano” to playing with water  colours, Abeer powder and ending with a lot of foodies such as Dahi vara, rasgulla, Malpuwa, Sandesh and of course ‘Bhang’, it is the best. I always look forward to this beautiful festival of colours which becomes a reunion as well with all my old friends and relatives playing Holi with different colours, pichkari, dance, music and lastly lots of fun with loads of memories. This year I am shooting on Holi. So I guess we will have a working Holi this year but will look forward to putting bits of colours on my co-actors may be during break time on sets with having a lot of good food. And evening will be something special with my mom as she is here this year. Each year Holi replenishes the old memories with the new ones. The ones I remember is from Basanta Utsav or Spring festival in Shantiniketan where students along with the guests clad in beautiful yellow sarees, sing and dance to spectacular numbers from Rabindranath Tagore and much more. It’s a memory that will be with me for many more years to come. It’s one of the unique ways of celebrating Holi.
