The episode starts with Balwinder watching Lakshmi leave. Bablu asks Balwinder why he is smiling. Balwinder says Lakshmi is the reason for his smile and comments on it. Bablu tells Balwinder to focus on the task they came here for. Balwinder agrees.
Lakshmi enters the washroom, and Sonal sneaks into the room behind her. Balwinder and Bablu see Lakshmi coming out of the washroom. Bablu worries about getting caught, so he pulls Balwinder away and leaves. Lakshmi checks if she turned off the tap water. During this time, Sonal takes the opportunity to swap Lakshmi’s Dupatta with the one containing gunpowder. Sonal then hides from Lakshmi. Lakshmi notices her Dupatta isn’t wet and wonders how it dried so quickly, looking around. Rishi enters the room and talks to Lakshmi. Sonal uses this moment to slip out.
Rishi tells Lakshmi that he was about to go to Harleen’s room but accidentally ended up here.
Balwinder sees Sonal leaving and decides to follow her to find out what they are up to.
Rishi compliments Lakshmi, saying she looks really beautiful. Lakshmi then leaves.
Anushka introduces Neel as her Chachaji. Neel tells Anushka that he’s feeling pain in his teeth and leaves. Anushka tells Karishma and Ayush that this is why she never invites her relatives, as they are always weird. Karishma comments that Neel looks very young for a Chachaji, though his hair is very white. Ayush says it happens nowadays due to food. Ayush and Karishma leave. Anushka feels relieved that she wasn’t caught and leaves as well.
Malishka waits for Sonal. Neelam arrives and sees Malishka feeling dizzy.V Malishka tells Sonal that she forgot her Dupatta. Malishka takes it from Sonal. Neelam asks if Malishka is okay, and suggests she come with her to drink lemon juice. Neelam runs into Mrs. Sharma and asks her to check on Malishka since she is a doctor. Malishka insists she’s fine and says there’s no need for it. Malishka later leaves.
Balwinder approaches Malishka. Malishka asks why he’s here. Balwinder says he knows about her plan, mentioning that he overheard Master ji talking on the phone about gunpowder and a Dupatta. Malishka denies planning anything and asks if Balwinder thinks she would do that in front of everyone. Balwinder comments on her reaction. Neelam arrives and asks Balwinder what he is doing there. Balwinder says he came to wish everyone a happy Diwali. Neelam gives him sweets and sends him away. She later warns Malishka to stay away from Balwinder.
Malishka feels dizzy again and leaves. Kiran notices Malishka running and follows her.
Lakshmi asks Rishi to step back as a flower pot is about to be burned. Rishi thanks Lakshmi.
Anushka tells Neel to leave. Neel says he will leave if she gives him a hug. Anushka, hearing this, gives him a hug. Shalu sees Anushka hugging Neel.
