The episode starts with Harleen telling all the ladies that they need to entertain themselves before the moon arrives. Harleen asks Ayush to play a song and dance. She also asks Avinash and Rishi to do something to entertain everyone, and they agree.
Ayush, Rishi, and Avinash dance to a song and entertain everyone. Ayush then says they are tired and can’t continue. Harleen comments on them. Anushka sees the moon appearing and informs Harleen. All the ladies get ready to perform the Karwa Chauth ritual.
Lakshmi looks at Rishi through the chalni (sieve). Sonal approaches Malishka and asks what she is doing. Sonal tells Malishka that she should be in Lakshmi’s place. Sonal gives the Karwa Chauth thaal to Lakshmi and encourages Malishka to go forward. Malishka then goes to where Lakshmi and Rishi are. Malishka discreetly pulls the carpet under Lakshmi’s feet, causing her to fall off the terrace. Rishi catches Lakshmi as she falls, and she holds onto his hand. With Ayush’s help, Rishi pulls Lakshmi to safety. He assures her that he won’t let anything happen to her. Rishi brings water for Lakshmi, and Harleen suggests he give her something sweet to help her feel better. Rishi agrees and feeds Lakshmi a sweet. He then tells Harleen he’ll take Lakshmi to her room, as she’s too injured to walk. Rishi lifts Lakshmi in his arms and carries her away.
Malishka feels frustrated as her plan has failed once again. Neelam notices Malishka’s frustration and assumes she is upset because of Rishi’s care for Lakshmi.
Aanchal approaches Malishka and accidentally sprains her ankle. Neelam helps Aanchal, taking her away from there. Karishma checks if Malishka is alright, and Anushka asks Karishma to stay with Aanchal. Karishma agrees and leaves, and Malishka also walks away. Ayush suggests Anushka break her fast first, and she completes the Karwa Chauth ritual before following Malishka.
Neelam asks Anushka how Malishka is, and Anushka informs her that Malishka went to her room. Neelam asks Anushka to check on Malishka and comfort her. Anushka agrees and heads to Malishka’s room. Neelam feels sorry for Malishka, sympathizing with her situation but feeling helpless.
Rishi brings Lakshmi to her room and asks where the first aid kit is. Lakshmi says it’s unnecessary and tells him to leave. Rishi reminds her it’s Karwa Chauth and says he doesn’t want any arguments today. He pleads with her not to argue, adding that he won’t argue with her either. Rishi says he wants to take care of her today. Touched by his words, Lakshmi’s eyes fill with tears. Rishi explains he wasn’t scolding her, just trying to help. He takes the first aid kit, but Lakshmi asks him not to touch her feet, explaining that on this day, women touch their husband’s feet, not the other way around. Rishi replies that traditions don’t matter to him; his life only has meaning if Lakshmi is in it. He thanks her for coming into his life and applies medicine to her wound.
