The episode starts with Rishi eating food right in front of Lakshmi in her room. Rishi later asks Lakshmi why she hasn’t taken her clothes out of her suitcase and put them in the cupboard yet. Lakshmi replies that she thought she wouldn’t need to. Rishi comments on this and asks her to unpack her suitcase and put her clothes in the cupboard while he continues eating. He suggests that Lakshmi can also join him. Lakshmi mentions there is only one plate, to which Rishi replies that sharing strengthens love.
Neelam approaches Malishka and asks why she seems disturbed. Balwinder hides behind the door and slips out of the room while Neelam is talking to Malishka. Malishka confides in Neelam that she is really troubled by recent events. Neelam comforts Malishka, assuring her that everything will be fine, and then leaves. Malishka thanks God that Balwinder left at the right moment; otherwise, she could have been in great trouble. Neelam, meanwhile, silently vows to ensure Malishka receives the happiness she deserves.
Rishi encourages Lakshmi to try the food, saying it’s just the way she likes it. Lakshmi asks Rishi how he knows so much about her preferences. Rishi makes a light comment and urges her to taste the food. She tries it and admits it’s exactly as he described. Rishi and Lakshmi eat from the same plate while Balwinder watches from afar.
In the middle of the night, Neelam hears a knock at her door. She opens it to find Malishka standing there, looking disturbed. Neelam invites her in and asks what’s wrong. Malishka confesses that she is scared and insists they need to act quickly. She reminds Neelam that Karwa Chauth is approaching, a day she has observed every year for Rishi. Malishka points out that Neelam has always given her Sargi for the occasion and asks who will receive it this year. Malishka pressures Neelam to prove her loyalty by giving her the Sargi, or else she’ll believe Neelam’s promises were lies. Neelam tells Malishka she’ll get her answer on Karwa Chauth day when she gives the Sargi, not before. Malishka hugs her and leaves.
Ten days later, on Karwa Chauth morning, Anushka greets Harleen with a cheerful “Good morning.” Ayush also arrives and wishes Harleen a good morning. Harleen is surprised Ayush is awake so early, to which he replies that Anushka woke him up. Harleen tells Ayush not to complain about Anushka today since it’s Karwa Chauth, and he agrees.
Malishka arrives and greets Harleen, who notes Malishka seems troubled. Malishka questions why Harleen hasn’t asked her the obvious question: why she’s there so early. Harleen brushes it off, saying it’s Karwa Chauth. Malishka mentions that she knows Lakshmi will observe Karwa Chauth for Rishi, just as she has done herself. Harleen responds that Lakshmi has the right to observe Karwa Chauth, while Malishka is doing it by choice. Malishka insists her observance is based on her relationship with Rishi, then moves to sit beside Anushka.
Lakshmi arrives and takes Harleen’s blessings, prompting Anushka to do the same. Harleen advises Anushka that blessings should come from the heart.
Neelam and Karishma come downstairs with the Sargi. Harleen asks Karishma if she prepared it according to Anushka’s preferences. Karishma confirms, while Aanchal mentions she prepared food for Rishi and Ayush, remarking that Neelam and Ayush seem focused only on Malishka and Anushka. Harleen adds that Lakshmi is also included. Rishi arrives, asking if he’s late, and Harleen assures him he’s on time, though Neelam says otherwise. Rishi responds with a simple “okay,” and Harleen teases him for agreeing only when Neelam said it.
