The episode starts with Rishi looking at a dead body. Rishi tells the cops that it is not Lakshmi. The police inspector informs Rishi that the body has become unrecognizable after being in the water for too long. The inspector asks Rishi to identify the clothes on the body. Rishi insists that Lakshmi is not dead and says he will go find her. He leaves. Ayush decides to follow him.
Malishka pretends to be concerned about Lakshmi and apologizes to Rano. Rano blames Malishka for Lakshmi’s condition.
Neelam and the rest of the Oberoi family are worried about Rishi.
Malishka makes a remark to Rano before leaving. Rano, upset, criticizes the Oberoi family and tells Shalu that they should bring Parvati back from the Oberoi mansion. Shalu responds that she doesn’t think the body belongs to Lakshmi.
The Oberoi family hears the doorbell ring. Anushka sees Rano and Shalu at the door and informs Neelam and the others. Aanchal and Karishma decide not to open the door. Rano overhears their conversation and bangs on the door, demanding that it be opened. She also makes comments about the family. Fed up, Neelam opens the door. Rano and Shalu announce that they have come to take Parvati away. Neelam firmly declares that Parvati will not leave. Shalu pleads with Neelam, saying they will leave as soon as they take Parvati. Neelam refuses.
Aanchal steps forward, pushes Neelam aside, and shuts the door in Rano and Shalu’s faces. Rano warns the Oberoi family that she will return with the police to take Parvati. She makes more remarks, angering Neelam. Furious, Neelam opens the door again, but by then, Rano and Shalu have already left.
Meanwhile, Rishi shows Lakshmi’s photo around and asks people if they have seen her. A constable asks Ayush if the dead body belongs to Rishi’s wife. Rishi tells the constable that the body is not Lakshmi’s. The constable suggests that the body may be unrecognizable but advises Rishi to check the belongings to confirm. Rishi refuses, saying he would have felt it if it were Lakshmi. The constable argues, insisting Lakshmi is dead.
Rishi, furious, grabs the constable by the collar. The constable shoves him away, causing Rishi to hit his head on a pillar and get injured. Ayush rushes to Rishi, checks if he is alright, and takes him to the hospital.
Malishka returns home and tells Neelam and the others that she believes the dead body belongs to Lakshmi. Neelam grows worried about how Rishi, Harleen, and especially Parvati will handle the news. Malishka assures Neelam that she will take responsibility and handle everything, asking her not to worry. Malishka leaves.
In her room, Malishka celebrates silently, thinking everything is going as planned. She decides she must now prove herself to be the best mother. Satisfied, she sets her alarm and goes to sleep.
Ayush brings Rishi home. Neelam, seeing the bandage on Rishi’s head, becomes concerned. Rishi tells Neelam he wants Lakshmi and pleads with her to bring Lakshmi back. Ayush explains that Rishi is injured and the doctor gave him an injection, which is making him feel sleepy.
