Bigg Boss 19 – The latest nomination task was fixed?

This week’s Bigg Boss nomination task has become the centre of major controversy after former contestant and season 11 runner-up Hina Khan accused the makers of fixing the results. The actress took to social media to express her disappointment, tweeting:

“If fixed nominations had a FACE… Sabse pehle kisko bheja to open the box decides everything. Aur haan, box number choose karne ke baad kya peeche se tasveeren badli jaa rahi thi… humein kya pata. Janta jaan na chahti hai. This show has lost its charm sadly. Subhraatri.”

Her tweet immediately caught attention, with fans echoing similar concerns about the authenticity of the nomination process.

The Task That Sparked the Debate

In the latest episode, Bigg Boss introduced a new nomination task where contestants were required to enter the activity area one by one, open a locker, and choose whether to nominate or save a fellow housemate whose photo appeared inside the locker. The twist — as announced by Bigg Boss — was that the task would continue in a chain format, and the process would stop once four contestants were officially nominated.

The sequence went as follows:

  • Gaurav began the task and nominated Nehal.
  • Nehal, visibly upset, picked Amaal’s key and decided to save him.
  • Amaal Mallik then received Shehbaaz’s key and chose to save him as well.
  • Shehbaaz broke the streak by picking Pranit’s key and nominating him.
  • Pranit drew Abhishek’s key and decided to save him.
  • Abhishek Bajaj then picked Baseer Ali’s key and nominated him.
  • Finally, Baseer received Gaurav’s key and nominated him, closing the loop and finalizing the four nominations.

As a result, Pranit More, Gaurav Khanna, Nehal Chudasama, and Baseer Ali were nominated for eviction this week.

While the task seemed fair on paper, several viewers—and now Hina Khan—believe the outcome might have been pre-determined. Her suspicion that the “pictures were changed from behind” after contestants chose their box has fueled theories that production could have influenced the results for drama or TRP reasons.

Fans have also pointed out that the task order — starting with Gaurav — might have strategically influenced who ended up nominated. Many are calling for Bigg Boss to release uncut footage of the task for transparency.

Social media is divided. Some fans side with Hina, saying the pattern of nominations looks too “convenient,” while others argue that every Bigg Boss task involves unpredictability and manipulation is part of the game’s format.

From a storytelling perspective, yes — the nomination chain was cleverly structured to create maximum drama and tension inside the house. But from a fairness standpoint, the sequence and results do raise eyebrows. The fact that a veteran like Hina Khan—known for her fair-play attitude—is questioning the process adds weight to the allegation.

Whether it was truly planned or just a dramatic coincidence, one thing is clear: this nomination task has reignited the age-old debate about Bigg Boss—is it reality or strategy-driven entertainment?
