By Anil Merani: Debattama Saha who earned her name and fame courtesy of Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani, is now impressing everyone with her new gender equality Colors show, Krishna Mohini.

Debatamma’s portrayal of Krisha supports her brother in his journey of self-discovery. She illuminates the importance of understanding and acceptance in our society, a role that requires utmost sensitivity and care.

With a talented actor like Debattama on board, we are hopeful that ‘Krishna Mohini’ will steer clear of stereotypical tropes and deliver a powerful message about sexual inclusion. If done right, this show has the potential to reach a broad audience and make a significant impact.

At a time when most marginal groups are getting their due, the LGBTQ crowd is out of the race. Debattama ‘gen zee support base can prove to be the driver for the show.

Deba is one lucky actor who has gotten very different roles, including Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein, Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani, Mithai and now Krishna Mohini.

We are sure that Fahmaan Khan’s chemistry with Deba in Krishna Mohini will surpass Karanvir Sharma’s and Deba’s popularity in Shaurya, taking the show to new heights.

I have watched a few episodes of Krishna Mohini, and Debattama has grown as an actor. (Dialogue delivery, emotions and poise) She used this break between Shaurya and now to hone her skills.

Debattama has now worked with all the major channels, including Sony, Star Plus, and Colors, indicating her talent and popularity.

Deba is relatively young, and seeing the fire in her belly, I am sure she might soon move into films and OTT. A talent like hers needs to go beyond TV.

Unlike her prior shows, we can only hope and pray that Krishna Mohini works on the TRP. Though the show has started poorly, Debattama still has a chance to weave her magic. A successful show makes an actor much more confident.

The time gap between Mithai and Mohini helped the viewer clear their mental cache and embrace Debattama as a fresh character.

However, there is only one fly in the ointment. There must be more social media noise from Deba fans, which the channel hoped would lead to more fantastic buzz. A gap between shows while getting creative rejuvenation leads to haemorrhaging support, as fans are a fickle lot.
