By Gossips Tv : The Star Plus show Deewaniyat featuring Vijayendra Kumeria, Kritika Singh Yadav, and Navneet Malik in lead roles, is set to go off-air in January 2025. Despite its promising premise and strong performances, the show struggled to secure steady ratings during its two-month run, ultimately leading to its premature conclusion.
The 6 PM time slot on Star Plus has proven challenging in recent years, with several shows failing to gain traction. .Deewaniyat had replaced Do Dooni Pyaar another unique concept that depicted the lives of identical twins. However, that show too failed to connect with the audience, wrapping up within three months of its launch.
Following Deewaniyat’s departure, the channel plans to introduce the Hindi adaptation of the highly popular Bengali drama Tomader Rani. Produced by Boyhood Productions, the new show will star *Saavi Ki Savaari* actor Farman Haider as the male lead. Meanwhile, Abhika Malakar, who won hearts as Rani in the Bengali version, will reprise her role for the Hindi remake. The show titled as “Pocket Mein Aasmaan” a story of aspiring doctor.
Reports suggest the upcoming show will premiere in late January, with hopes of bringing fresh energy to the evening slot.
