By Anil Merani: If there has been one Bigg Boss OTT BiggBoss15 discovery, it has been Prateek Sehajpal. Before this Viacom18 network reality series, hardly anyone outside the youth segment knew Prateek.
But no sooner did he enter Bigg Boss OTT, he became the centre of attention courtesy of his constant scrappins with one and all. Preteek’s aggression reminded us of the late Siddharth Shukla’s Bigg Boss 13 innings.
He never got on well with most Bigg Boss OTT inmates as well. His physical fight with Zeeshan saw the latter ejected.
Prateek smartly accepted the suitcase and quit the OTT finale, knowing that he did not have it to compete with Divya Agarwal and Shamita Shetty(She too is in Bigg Boss along with Nishant and him).
Salman kept braiding him for his anger, and he did a tad mellow down after a point.
During his OTT days, Prateek developed a close friendship with Neha Bhasin, which went kaput as soon she entered the main house as a wildcard.
His temperament has repeatedly seen him clash with Shamita and Karan Kundrra; amongst others, the latter knows his Achilles heel (mother) and exploits the hilt. His friendship with Nishant makes for an interesting watch.
It is no mean task for Preteek to have lasted so long. While I dont think he will have the legs to outvote Teja Karan and Shamita, the fact that he has been daily seen for nearly six months is a significant achievement.
He is a known commodity, and I am sure producers will be willing to sign him on for more projects down the road.
However, as Salman said, his attitude can be an issue, will film and serial makers want meltdown on sets? I Hope Prateek proves Salman wrong and emerges more than just a reality show star.
