Exclusive: I have just shot around 6 scenes in six months- Aanchal Khurana on possibly quitting Tu Juliet Jatt Di

By Anil Merani & Tanisha Chitransh: Colours TV has a major HR problem, while the dust is still settling over the noise about Manasi Salvi quitting Mahadev & Sons over contractual issues, Mahi Vij’s Now, you see now you don’t Sehar Hone Ko Hai avtaar comes the news that all is not well between Aanchal Khurana and Tu Juliet Jatt Di producer Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta over creative issues.

Aanchal, who first gained fame with MTV Roadies 8 and Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, has just released a video that seems to suggest she has left the show.

When we spoke to Anchal, she said,” I don’t want to comment on the video.”

‘But she did make it clear that she was unhappy at the way her character had framed.” The story did not pan out as expected, and I ended up shooting only about 6 scenes over the last 6 months. “

She blamed the TRP pressures for the chopping of her character. ” The rating forced the maker to change the story and bring in a new lead. The show took off well; we reached 1.4, but lately we have fallen off the cliff to 0.9. I also want to return to Mumbai to try something fresh.” says she

I don’t have any personal problems with producers Ravi and Sargun. I actually wanted to work with them, as actors themselves, they would understand what we want.”

When asked point-blank whether she would leave the show, she says she will soon inform her fans. This seems to indicate a thaw.

In closing, she also flagged the late start of the show as yet another issue for her “I had to return in haste from the States Side as they suddenly decided to go on floor in October last. I had signed the contract early in 2025, but they kept pushing back on shooting.”

If Aanchal does walk out, it will be a major blow for Colors TV, for so soon after Manasi and Mahi, yet another talent wants out.

Colors TV would want to stem the hemorrhage. But here, Aachal has made things difficult for herself by going public.

It would be interesting to see how this pans out in the days ahead.

We tried to reach Sargun and the channel for their comments, but couldn’t get through until we put this piece to bed.
