Interview by: Anil Merani| Akash Ahuja is enjoying doing Thapki Pyaar Ki 2 on Colors ” For me, it is no sequel as I have no idea about the hit original show about a stammering girl again starring Jigyasa Singh and Jaya Bhattacharya etc. I never knew who they were till we met for our reading, so I am taking it as a brand new story Season 1 male lead was Manish Goplani

Talking about his character Akash says ” at first, his character Purab was pretty cold, avoiding any emotional contact with anyone But once he came into contact with his better half Thapki, the audience also became aware of his softer side.” There is great understanding between the husband-wife. Conflicts happen as in any couple but then know when to sit and thrash matters out.”

Here Akash adds that the public likes his expression and acting. They also appreciate that Purab respects Thapki and will stand up for his wife or sister, no matter who is on the other side.

“The biggest challenge for me is that we telecast seven days a week, so i have not got an off for the past four months. We are always hustling on set, I am either dancing or doing action stuff. It does get tricky when we don’t get time to recuperate from injuries. But all the above hard work gets vindicated by getting the title of 6 pm slot leader, which is reflective of audience love and acceptance”

Your take on Jigsya? ” she is a good-hearted girl, and you cant ask for a better co-star. “

Thapki is Akash’s first Tv fiction outing. Before this, he had done a few films and shorts ” I have also hosted tv mini-series Act Now India.”

In closing, Akash says he is very active on social media daily, posting 100 to 200 stories. err bro, is that not a bit too much? Will the director and co-star not feel a bit miffed as so much? Instagramming might impact output.
