By Gossips TV : Star Plus’ family drama Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shehed Shehed, starring Abrar Qazi and Afia Tayebali, is facing a rough phase. Launched with much hype in the coveted 8 PM prime-time slot, the show was expected to deliver strong ratings. However, it failed to create the expected buzz on the TRP charts, compelling the channel to shift it to the 7:30 PM slot.
Even after the shift, the show continues to struggle, maintaining only an average 1.1 – 1.2 TVR*, which is the lowest among other shows airing across GECs in the same time band. This performance has raised concern for the makers as well as the channel.
According to sources, Star Plus has already issued a notice to the production house, warning them about the show’s underwhelming numbers. The channel, already struggling to stabilize its prime-time ratings, is planning a major revamp. As Gossips TV had exclusively reported earlier, new shows are lined up to refresh the programming schedule in the coming weeks.
If Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shehed Shehed continues to dip, the channel may take a tough call – either shifting it to an early evening slot (6:30 PM) or pulling it off-air altogether. With competition heating up, the coming weeks will decide the fate of the show.
