Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad falls out of audience taste!

By Anil Merani: Star Plus show Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad, which had just launched in June this year, is already facing closure. The Abrar Qazi-led cookery love story struggled with ratings from the start and was always under pressure. The show’s ratings continued to decline steadily. (1.4 week one)

The warning signs appeared when the show was moved to the 6.30 pm slot, a clear indication that its performance was lacking. Now, reports suggest the show is shutting down much sooner than expected.

Multiple factors contributed to its failure. First, the concept of a single woman, Katha did not warm up with the audience who still seemed to like a girl embroiled in domestic issues

Additionally, simply copying a regional show (Star Jalsha’s series Kothha) may not be effective, as different markets have unique sensibilities, making each adaptation a risk.

Another major issue was the on-screen chemistry between Abrar and Afia, w did not resonate with viewers. Chemistry even friend zone(here love did not even start) is essential for showing success, and comparisons to Abrar’s previous hit( Yeh Hai Chahatein ) with Sargun Luthra highlight what was missing.

Some might argue that more time could have helped the show, but with a fresh rating of 1.1, that’s not acceptable for a GEC leader like Star Plus.

The early end of Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad may impact Afia’s future as a GEC lead, as channels tend to hesitate when picking a show with poor performance. However, Abrar may get another chance, given his consistent track record on other shows(Gathabandhan and Kumkum Bhagya)

A source did not agree with our assessment; however, the channel refused to make a statement. We stick with our story.
