The episode starts with an employee telling Kapil that the client will join the meeting in 5 minutes. Mangal places coffee on the table in the meeting room. Adit and Kapil both reach out to take it. Kapil takes the coffee and asks Adit if he thought Mangal had brought it for him. He drinks it and says there’s no need to stress about preparing it. Mangal replies that it’s just a two-minute job. Kapil praises her coffee, saying he looks forward to meetings just to have her coffee, and thanks her. Mangal says, “You’re welcome.” Adit watches Mangal and thinks about how he used to insult her over coffee. Kapil tells Adit that he can have coffee in the canteen, where the coffee machine is available. Adit agrees and steps outside, thinking he needs to concentrate on setting up his business.
Meanwhile, Pratima asks Kusum to help her choose a bangle, saying she is confused. Kusum assures her that her choice is good. Pratima insists, saying Kusum has experience as a mother-in-law and should choose one as if selecting for her daughter-in-law. Kusum selects a bangle. Pratima says she can’t wait to introduce her daughter-in-law and begins searching for Mangal’s photo on her phone.
Adit gets coffee from the canteen, but it’s too hot, and he burns his tongue. Kapil comments on him. Adit says the coffee is too hot. Kapil starts the meeting and announces that their “Pehla Swaad” branch is opening in Delhi the next day. Everyone claps. Adit congratulates them. Kapil tells Adit that he is lucky to work under Mangal, a successful entrepreneur, and assigns him the responsibility of promoting the Delhi branch. Mangal says she doesn’t need help and can manage it herself. Kapil responds, saying he knows she doesn’t need help, but Adit needs to learn from her to launch his own business. He asks Adit to follow in Mangal’s footsteps and requests Mangal to mentor him. Mangal agrees and starts assigning tasks to Adit.
Pratima asks Kusum to see the photo of her daughter-in-law. Kusum gets upset when she sees the phone is switched off due to low battery. Pratima says she will charge it and leaves.
At home, Kamala asks Akshat to eat, but he refuses, saying he wants his mother’s handmade food. Just then, Sowmya comes home. She scolds Akshat and instructs Kamala to prepare noodles for him, warning that she doesn’t want to hear any more noise. She then leaves. Akshat lies to Kamala, saying he will play a game on her phone, and takes it. Kamala goes to prepare the noodles.
Mangal discusses work with Adit. Adit rudely says there’s no need to explain, as it’s not his first time doing this kind of work. Mangal calmly replies that she treats every assignment like her first one. Just then, Akshat calls Mangal. She answers and asks why he’s crying.
Kamala asks Akshat who he called and tries to take the phone from him. The phone falls to the ground. Sowmya scolds Akshat and tries to force him to eat the noodles. Mangal hears everything over the call and rushes out of the meeting. Adit thinks to himself that after giving him a lecture, Mangal is now walking out of the meeting.
Kusum arrives home and tells Sowmya not to force Akshat. Sowmya argues that she’s doing everything for Akshat’s well-being and says she doesn’t want him to grow up weak like his mother. Kusum worries, thinking that Lakshmi was supposed to arrive today, but now this issue has come up. She prays to Maata Rani for help. Sowmya tries to drag Akshat to lock him in the bathroom as punishment, but just then, Mangal arrives and rescues him. Akshat tells Mangal that he’s scared. Mangal assures him that she’s there and he doesn’t need to be afraid. Kusum is surprised to see Mangal there.
Sowmya angrily tells Mangal she has no rights there and asks her to leave. Mangal firmly rebukes Sowmya, calling her by name. Sowmya is shocked and questions her for calling her disrespectfully. Mangal says she doesn’t deserve respect and adds that Akshat’s mother is alive, and she will make decisions for him. Sowmya insists that since Akshat is staying in her house, she has the right to make decisions and demands that Mangal leave. Mangal warns her not to raise her voice.
At that moment, Adit comes home and is shocked to see Mangal there. Mangal tells him that Sowmya is mistreating Akshat. Sowmya asks Adit to tell Mangal that she is not allowed to meet the kids. Mangal informs Sowmya that Adit had already given her permission to meet them, and it seems Sowmya was unaware. Sowmya is left stunned.
