The episode begins as Lakshmi trips while taking her pheras. Gayatri suggests postponing the wedding because Jia is unable to walk properly, a comment that Prema echoes. Karthik then carries Lakshmi and completes the pheras. He fixes her hairline and places the Mangal Sutra around her neck.
Meanwhile, Jia returns home to find that the wedding has already been completed, with the pandit announcing its conclusion. In frustration, Jia sets off the fire alarm, prompting everyone to leave the mandap to search for the source of the fire. Jia confronts Radha, demanding to know why she married Karthik without stopping the proceedings. Radha replies that Jia did not arrive on time and that she couldn’t halt the rituals, so she married Karthik. Radha also accuses Jia of abandoning the wedding to undergo a look test and declares that it is wrong. Jia retorts that Karthik married Radha thinking she was Jia, and she demands the return of her wedding dress and thali. Radha, however, refuses to relinquish her rights and counters by saying she now knows what Jia did with Lakshmi. Radha asserts that Jia snatched Karthik from Lakshmi, and that God, in turn, took Karthik from Jia and gave him to Radha—so Jia must accept this as God’s decision before Radha leaves.
Karthik, puzzled by the situation, notices that there is no fire, yet the alarm has been activated. Jia, intent on turning things in her favor, watches as Karthik questions her about when she changed her clothes and removed her sindoor. Prema calls Karthik to the mandap, explaining that the fire alarm was triggered by mistake and that his bride is waiting for him. Confused, Karthik comes downstairs with Jia, and everyone is stunned by what they see. When Karthik lifts the ghoonghat, he discovers that the bride is Radha, leaving him in shock. Umesh asks if Radha has been sitting in Jia’s place all this time.
Determined to prevent the truth from emerging about how Radha replaced her, Jia starts a dramatic outburst. She claims that Radha is occupying the mandap deceitfully and is trying to steal her identity. Karthik interrupts, demanding answers from Jia. He asks where Jia was when Radha sat in the mandap as the bride. Radha then reveals that Jia had gone for a dev Sinha look test, and that, following Jia’s orders, she took Jia’s place as the bride and married Karthik.
Karthik scolds Jia for abandoning the marriage for a movie offer. Jia attempts to defend herself, arguing that it wasn’t entirely her fault because Radha seized the opportunity and married him out of greed. Radha retorts sharply, accusing Jia of being greedy rather than herself. Jia pleads with Karthik for forgiveness, insisting that if he truly loves her, they should get married and that he should dismiss Radha. However, the pandit reminds them that the wedding has been fully completed with all the necessary rituals and that it cannot be nullified. He urges Jia to stop insulting the dharam. Jia persists, declaring that Karthik loves her and that the current marriage is invalid, and she demands that Radha leave. Radha, however, declares that she is married to Karthik and that this is her sasural, so she will not leave.
