Born and raised in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, Manmohan Tiwari always wanted to become an actor. After completing his BCom., MA.LLB from Uttarakhand, his destiny favoured his dreams and brought him to Mumbai. But before that, he started his journey with the stage at Nukkad in Rishikesh and then joined Asmita Theatre group in Delhi. After he came to Mumbai, the actor did a number of hit daily soaps and about six short films. His latest Jeevansath, streaming on Content Ka Keeda on YouTube, has been receiving a good response. The actor talks about his journey so far.

“Mumbai is the stepping stone to the doorways of telly world and Bollywood. My experience in the city has been rewarding since day 1. It’s been 13 years and everyday has been a blessing, helping me reach out to the masses with entertaining content through multiple channels. I feel grateful,” smiles the actor, who has been a part shows such as Pratigya, Hum Hai Na, Kumkum Bhagya and Gudiya Humari Sab Pe Bhari

Manmohan’s upcoming project is Jai Bharti for Doordarshan. He plays the leading role in the project.

Talking about his role and the concept of his latest short film, Jeevansathi, he adds, “I am playing the role of a man looking for a life partner who adds value to life making it less complicated. However, life is never simple and destiny has its own strange plans to make the journey a roller coaster ride. The concept of the film is relatable to every Indian irrespective of the gender. It’s more of ‘Melody khao khud jaan jao’ (laughs) sort of an experience, watch it and have a hearty laugh.”

Jeevansathi is directed by Shivankar Arora and written by Shipra Arora. The brother-sister duo has also produced the film for their channel Content Ka Keeda.

“The experience of working with them has always been wonderful. They know their job and hence the script is written to the crisp, followed by flawless execution. Actors and directors are like water and containers. The container can shape the water or spill and waste it. Shivankar and Shipra have always added to the journey making the water more tempting and desirable. The set location, scripting, rehearsal and the final cut, the entire process is fun filled with such amazing team members that we often lose track of time. They know how to tickle the souls of viewers and deliver insightful messages through relatable stories,” Manmohan praises the duo.
