With Kumkum Bhagya recently going off-air, actor Namik Paul penned a heartfelt farewell to his character, Shivansh Randhawa, leaving fans emotional. Taking to social media, Namik shared behind-the-scenes pictures and memories from his journey, while thanking fans for embracing Shivansh with all his “faults and cracks.”
In his note, Namik reflected on the rollercoaster ride of playing Shivansh—right from the nervousness of his look test, the exhaustion of action sequences, the challenge of memorizing endless dialogues, to the joy of building on-screen relationships. He recalled his confrontations with Raunak and Bua Ma, arguments with Smita Zaveri, and the bickering equation with Prarthna.
Namik wrote, If anyone really thought Shivansh wouldn’t get his own post then I’ll just say you must be new around these parts 😋 Tradition would dictate me waxing poetic but that just doesn’t feel right.

Everything you see up above, right from my look test, to the first fittings (a very different look), to the literal last shot I gave as him and the last time I walked out of my changing room on set, feels like it happened maybe a couple of weeks, maximum a month ago. To think it’s been almost 6 months just seems nuts.
The weird mix of stress and excitement arriving at my look test, the anguish walking out thinking I’d bombed it (clearly hadn’t). The anticipation of my first shot as Shivansh, the giant fans, the noise and the HEAT, furnace like. The pages and pages of dialogues in the post wedding scene and the few hours I had to learn them in. Fight scenes upon fight scenes with Raunak, arguments with Smita Zaveri, confrontations with Bua Ma, bickering with Prarthna. All the wonderful people I had the pleasure to work with on and off screen. I even remember some lines from my audition that I sent before Holi.
And I remember the love starting to flow in for this guy, with all his faults and cracks. It’s been a blast playing him and I’m nothing short of grateful for the character and all the people he managed to reach. Thank you and lots of love right back at you ❤️
And with that, this is Shivansh Randhawa, Signing Off.
PS- Don’t think I forgot
Angst-Gate 🌚
PPS- I don’t think this counts as waxing poetic, does it?
In another post, Namik celebrated his camaraderie with co-star Pranali Rathod, who played Prarthna. Sharing fun BTS pictures, he recalled how even Shivansh’s unconscious scenes turned into fits of laughter on set. Their effortless banter translated into an on-screen chemistry that fans loved.
