Neha Harsora, who essays the role of Sailee in Star Plus’ Udne Ki Aasha, marked a significant personal and professional milestone as she attended the 25th Indian Television Academy Awards, a landmark Silver Jubilee celebration for Indian television. More than just an awards night, the ITA Awards have long been regarded as the industry’s most awaited annual celebration—an evening where glamour, achievements, and the spirit of television come together on one grand stage. With the awards having been aired on Star Plus consistently for the past 25 years, the occasion held special meaning for artists across generations, and for Neha, it was a moment steeped in pride and nostalgia.
Sharing her thoughts on being part of the historic edition, Neha said, “It was quite exciting to be present for the 25th ITA Awards. This year I didn’t perform, but last year I did, and I even won an award for Best Actress (Female – Jury). It was incredibly overwhelming and felt like a dream come true.” Her journey from being an avid viewer to a celebrated award recipient reflects the essence of the ITA legacy—a platform that not only honours excellence but also celebrates the collective journey of the television fraternity.
Speaking about the overall experience, she added, “The atmosphere is just different; it’s a completely unique experience to be there among so many people you usually see on television, in movies, and on OTT platforms.” She further described the evening as a celebration beyond trophies, where the entire industry comes together to acknowledge milestones, memories, and years of hard work. “It’s an honorable show that gives you a real sense of pride, making you feel like you’ve achieved something significant in your life.”
The night, filled with dazzling performances, emotional wins, and moments of togetherness, was made even more special with Udne Ki Aasha earning recognition, as Kanwar Dhillon took home the Best Actor award. Neha shared, “This year, our show, Udne Ki Aasha, also won an award for Best Actor. Even though I didn’t get to perform this year, just being there to experience the awards was amazing.” For the team, it was a moment of celebration that perfectly captured the joy of being part of television’s most prestigious gathering.
Recalling a cherished memory, she said, “Last year, 2024, remains especially memorable because I both performed and won an award. I’ve been watching this show on the 31st since I was a kid, so being a part of it now is truly special.” From childhood admiration to standing among peers at the industry’s biggest annual celebration, Neha’s journey embodies the magic the ITA Awards continue to create.
Watch the 25th Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards on 31st December at 7:30 PM, only on Star Plus.
