Actor Park Bo Gum and actress Kim So Hyun have been officially confirmed to star as leads in JTBC’s new drama “Good Boy” (literal title).

“Good Boy” is an upcoming action cum comedy drama that follows the journey of a group of Gold Medallists who, faced with financial struggles, short career spans, injuries, and other challenges, become special police officers. Together, they form the “Olympics Avengers” and use their unique skills acquired during their time as athletes to fight violent crime.

Park Bo Gum will be taking on the role of Yoon Dong Joo, a former Olympic gold medallist boxer who becomes a police officer for the Special Violent Crime Unit through special employment for Olympic athletes. Born with a talent for fighting, Yoon Dong Joo becomes an Olympic hero, but when met with despair, he starts his life afresh as a police officer, his instincts as a fighter guiding him while fighting injustice.

Kim So Hyun will be playing the role Ji Han Na, a former Olympic gold medallist shooter who has received great love from the general public as a “shooting goddess” for her gorgeous looks. However, due to an unexpected incident that shocks the world, she quits shooting and chooses to become a police officer. Though she appears to be calm and collected, she is honest and straightforward when it comes to love and work.

“Good Boy” will be penned by Lee Dae Il of “Chief of Staff” and “Life on Mars” fame and will be helmed by Shim Na Yeon of hit dramas “Beyond Evil” and “The Good Bad Mother.”
