Rajan Shahi and his team at Director’s Kut Productions and Shahi Productions Pvt. Ltd. are riding high on the success of their shows “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, “Aai Kuthe Kay Karte” and “Anupamaa”. With their fresh and relatable storyline they have won the audience’s hearts and many awards as well. In fact they won as many as 16 awards at the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2021 that was held on November 24. 

The awards night was attended by Rajan and his daughter Ishika Shahi apart from the cast and crew.

While “Aai Kuthe Kay Karte” won the Best Marathi Serial (Star Pravah), “Anupamaa” won the Best Hindi Serial award and “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” won the Best Longest Running Iconic Serial of Indian Television. 

Karishma Sawant from “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” won the Best Fresh Face Debut, Pranali Rathod took home the Best Iconic Face (Female) 2021 and Harshad Chopda won the Best Iconic Face (Male) award. As for “Anupamaa”, Madalsa Sharma was awarded the Most Interesting Character, while Alpana Buch received the Best Iconic Performer (Female). The Best Actor Male and Female went to Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly, respectively, and Gaurav Khanna took home the Most Likeable Iconic Character. 

Aai Kuthe Kay Karte” won three more awards. The Best Actor Marathi (Female) went to Madhurani Gokhale, Best Actor Marathi (Male) to Milind Gawali and Best Iconic Negative character to Rupali Bhosale. 

Director’s Kut Productions and Shahi Productions also won the Best Production House 2021 and director Romesh Kalra won the Best Director award for “Anupamaa”.
