By Gossips TV : India’s historic T20 World Cup victory has brought the Women’s Cricket Team into the spotlight, and to celebrate the achievement, the squad recently shot a special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati with host Amitabh Bachchan. While the appearance was meant to be a moment of pride and celebration, one unexpected absence has become the centre of discussion – Smriti Mandhana was missing from the shoot.
Photos from the sets show the Women’s Team posing with Amitabh Bachchan, but Smriti, one of Indian cricket’s most loved faces, was nowhere to be seen. According to reports circulating online, her absence is linked to the personal turmoil surrounding her postponed wedding with singer-composer Palash Muchhal. Smriti was reportedly set to tie the knot on November 23, but the plans took a drastic turn after her father suffered a heart attack. This medical emergency led to the wedding being postponed indefinitely.
However, soon after, social media noticed Smriti had removed her engagement and wedding-related posts. Close friends, including Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil, reportedly deleted the engagement video as well – fueling widespread breakup and cheating rumours involving her fiancé. While no official statement has been released, speculation continues to rise.
Despite the controversies, the team’s KBC appearance is expected to be a high-spirited segment celebrating India’s World Cup win. Fans, however, eagerly await whether Smriti will eventually address the situation or maintain silence as she focuses on her family and career.
