By Anil Merani: The rumour mills are excited over the potential wildcard entries of Vivian Dsena’s first wife, Vahbbiz Dorabjee, and Karam Rajpal in the new season of Bigg Boss.

Vahbbiz will not enter as she is already doing a Star Plus show for Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment.

On the other hand, Karam is still in talks with Endemol and Colors. Interestingly, when I called Karam, he did not confirm or deny the same.

Typically, signed-up contestants must deny it because they have to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Talking generally about Bigg Boss, he does not feel there should be much fuss about holding on to one’s nerves. “Don’t we have to do it even in normal family and friend settings.”

He further criticized the societal pressure that often leads contestants to adopt a negative persona in an attempt to stand out. He believes that this desire for a ‘villain’ to disrupt the ‘hero-heroine’ narrative is a reflection of our collective fascination with drama.

Karam has a lot of hope from the current lot of Bigg Boss contestants, “especially my friends   Vivian and  Avinash Mishra”.

He was not impressed by the folding hand antics of some of the girls. “They were overdoing it to try to look good.”

He feels that controversial weight lifter Rajat Dalal will stand out, for he is already playing an aggressive game.

He also wondered what makes suspended advocate advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte tick.

“Even Shehzada Dhami is playing well. I agree he has an agenda, though,” says he.

Karam has done several shows, such as Naamkaran, Mere Angne Mein, Manmohini, and Ishq Ki Dastaan – Naagmani feels that  Bigg Boss help actors get name and fame.

“All the above attributes only come later if you can successfully survive,” added he

Karam, while taking the quick ending of his last Colors TV show, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, in his stride, appreciates the trend of short formats in today’s entertainment industry, keeping the audience well-informed.

Karam, we wish you the best of luck for a possible Bigg Boss 18 entry and your career.
