By Gossips TV : Star Plus’ recently launched show Taara is set to go off-air within a short span of its premiere. The show, which went on air on March 10, is now expected to wrap up by May 25, marking a run of just over two months.
Initially, the makers had planned for the show to continue till June. However, due to consistently declining TRPs week after week, the channel has reportedly decided to pull the plug earlier than expected. Despite efforts to revive viewership, the numbers failed to show improvement.
In a bid to boost ratings, the show recently introduced a short leap of three years. The creative change was aimed at refreshing the storyline and bringing in new drama to engage the audience. However, the move did not yield the desired results, and the show continued to struggle on the ratings chart.
Sources close to the production reveal that the decision to end the show was taken after careful evaluation of its performance. The team had been trying to rework the narrative, but nothing seemed to click with viewers.
Taara now joins the list of shows that faced an early exit due to low viewership. The cast and crew are expected to wrap up shooting next month, bringing the journey of the show to a premature end.
