Star Plus’s gamble of axing Shakti Arora from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin did not backfire

By Anil Merani: Star Plus, Cockcrow, and Shaika Entertainment sigh in relief. Their gamble of removing Shakti Arora as the Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin lead   has not backfired. The ratings remain stable, providing a sense of reassurance to the audience.

The next two or three weeks will be critical as we look ahead. However, there’s a glimmer of hope as the audience might find a new favorite in the potential chemistry between new male lead Hitesh Bharadwaj and incumbent female lead Bhavika Sharma.

The show’s creators and the cast have a significant task ahead of them. Their unwavering dedication and hard work will ensure the show’s continued success.

The makers and channel had faith in the story and always betted that while the online audiences might be fickle, the core audience would stick on. That premise has worked.

The jury is still out on the online crowd, though, and today, digital traction is also a significant revenue guzzler.

The creative also bet that   Bhavika is the bigger bet of the show, and her retention alone should do the trick.

Inside sources attributed higher budgets and creative issues to Shakti’s exit. Looking at the billing, Hitesh will charge less Per Day.

Let’s hope that Ghum continues to march ahead. We wish the team all the best.
