Colors newly launched Nima Denzongpa got positive response from the audience when its first look was out. Fans were excited to watch the journey of ‘Nima Denzongpa’ who hails from Sikkim. Promo was catchy and audience expected the show will have different promo from triangle love story and regular saas-bahu conspiracy. Also they will come to learn the struggle of Sikkim girl that she might have faced being from Northern state. Actress Surabhi Das who plays the character of Nima in the show has also claimed that the story is her own journey and she is excited to play Nima. But at the end of the day it is ITV and you cannot expect anything different other than regular conspiracies, triangle love story and no interesting plot.
The story of Nima Denzongpa opened on a catchy element. Nima and Suresh fall in love with each other in a beautiful location of Sikkim. Nima who is close to her parents for the sake of her love accompanied Suresh to Mumbai as latter promised her that he will fulfil all her dreams. The story of the show shifted to Mumbai. Suresh mother was shown a typical Maharastrian woman who rule Suresh. Suresh hide Nima from her mother and asks her to stay with his friend until he settle things with his mother. The story was gripping so far. Moving on, Suresh’s friend harassed Nima. Later, Suresh married Nima and bring him to his house. Suresh’s mother refuses to accept Nima and kept a condition if Nima will deliver a baby boy than she will accept her.
Story of the show took 4 years leap, Nima was blessed with three daughters and Suresh’s mother got latter hitched with Tulika. Now this unnecessary third angle in ‘Nima Denzogpa’ is making no sense. As masses expected journey and struggle of Nima in Mumbai not saas-bahu and conspiracy. Show is pissing-off the audience who expected a fresh story and interesting tracks. Nima became first ever TV show to lose its plot within a week.
Anyways it is not about ‘Nima Denzogpa’, the triangle love story has taken over ITV shows and no makers can imagine the stories without third angle. Third angle spice up the story claims few makers. Thus, right from ‘Shakti Asitiva Ke Ehsaas Ki’,’Udaariyaan’, ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein’, ‘Anupama’, and almost all the current shows are showcasing triangle love story.
