When it comes to playing Holi, TV stars are one of the most vibrant lots. Considering this is one of the few times that they get free off their hectic schedule, they make sure to make the most of it. So read on to know how your favourite stars are planning to play Holi this year!

Aishwarya Sakhuja – Holi is not just about colours. It also symbolises love and friendship. It a time to renew your friendship and express your heartiest love by bright colors, water balloons, sweets and lots of masti! My most memorable holi was the first Holiafter I got married. Rohit is my best friend and playing Holi with him is the most fun!

Vahbiz Dorabjee – It’s the togetherness which makes Holi the best experience for me. The food made on this day called ghujiya and phara, made uniquely in our family, so mouth-watering that it drags me to the kitchen again and again!  On Holi, I meet friends in my hometown at a junction and color each other with ‘aabir’ (colorful powder). The very environment of the festival makes it special for me. There’s a popular saying for Holi which says “bura na mano holi he” which lets you color even strangers. Plus, since I am a social person, this is the perfect festival for me.

Ssudeep Sahir: I remember this one Holi I had just started dating my wife and she had her final exams.. I decided to just stop over and pay a quick visit as I didn’t want to disturb her. Some more friends joined and there was even some Bhaang that got sneaked in.. I am glad she passed otherwise I would have never heard the end of it! Holi is a lot calmer now. It’s all about my son Arwaann. Every year We go to my in laws place where we blow up inflatable pools and fill water in it and play Holi with organic colours. So, for us, it is nice and quiet family affair with lots of fattening and delicious food.

Ridheema Tiwari – I used to go in groups with friends on campus and we used to play colours. I grew up watching my parents applying the tradition tika to each other. My mom used to make gulab jamuns and lots of sweets. I remember one time when my aunt, mixed bhang in the rotis and gave it to my father as a joke.  Out of curiosity, I too, took an entire cake of bhang and ate it in the  washroom! After that, I slept and slept! This year, I have not planned anything yet. But my co-actors are real fun, and we are planning to do something different.  We will go to some interesting place, where can play and sing and dance and enjoy to hearts’ content!

Jyotsna Chandola – When I was in school primary class and was in Kerala, nobody actually played at that time. So I used to play colours with myself and a few cousins. But I got hospitalized the very first time I did that, because I played with a lot of colors and water guns! Other times, I remember we used to start filling balloons at 5 in the morning. This time, I am going to Banaras. I have never been there for Holi. This is my second Holi after marriage but my first with in-laws. So the whole of my 2017 is planned with my in-laws because I want to enjoy these happy moments with them!

Shashank Vyas-I love Holi since it’s a good opportunity to meet friends. My most memorable Holi was in Ujjain with school friends. In Mumbai, I would celebrate with friends. I would attend few Holiparties and drink thandai. It’s nice to see happy colourful faces!

Adaa Khan-I play Holi every year. I love the festival and play with a gang of friends.  We do party-hopping,  have a blast and I really let my hair down. It’s a fantastic festival to hang out with friends. An actor’s life is so busy so such opportunities are rare, that’s why I enjoy this to the fullest!

Karan Wahi – I don’t play Holi. For the last 8 years cause I feel if we talk about saving water and, on the other hand, we on the name of a festival waste so much water. Nothing against Holi. But for me its all bout putting a gulal tikka and be with friends.

Salil Ankola – I will be celebrating Holi with my family in Pune as we will be doing this after years. It will be a dry Holi for us with organic colours. It’s also very important that everyone save every drop of water we can, as that’s life itself. As kids we used to celebrate Holi with friends and family. After that, we would have fun with watercolours, balloons and sometimes even mud slush! I remember my mom used to make a variety of sweets and food and we all used to eat a hearty, late lunch.

Abhaas Mehta – I celebrate Holi with my friends usually, but I haven’t in the last 2 years as I was in the UK in 2015 for my commercial diving course. Also, last year I was on a job on the ship. My most memorable Holi in recent times was in 2012 when I was shooting for Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.  I had no scenes so I was on a holiday on Holi and was enjoying with my friends. Bhaang being the drink of the day we all savoured it and at about 3 in the noonwe came back to shower and then head out for lunch.  When I came back, I had some 50 missed calls from my EP as a scene had to be added to that day’s schedule. I went on set, and what followed was a riot! Everyone in the crew had a blast with me in high spirits. I remember only Daljiet was on set as we had a scene together and we managed to shoot it somehow. Two days later that scene was on air and I had no recollection of shooting it!

Manish Wadhwa:  It is a big task to put gulaal on my father’s forehead, so I, my brother who is a huge fan of Holi and my mother have to do it with great difficulty. Every year we first celebrate it with family and then meet all the friends. I will never forget the Holi when Jaya Bachchan herself had invited us for Holi at the Bacchan residence. I will never forget that time with Mr Amitabh Bacchan and family. Holi is all about worshipping the Holi goddess, taking blessings from the elders, forgetting all the bad memories, playing with colours and spreading love and happiness everywhere.

Ankit Bathla – Holi is about colours, lots of food and catching up with friends. I’ll be in Mumbai with my friends and co-actors this year. Also, this time, let’s try and save water and avoid colours and products that might harm the skin and health. The red gulaal is my favourite and my day starts with putting it on Krishna. I remember mom used to make gujiya for all of us on Holi and all my cousins would come over and we would talk and play tombola entire day. I miss the family unions on this festival!

Amal Sehrawat – My fondest and dearest Holimemories are of my childhood when I used to go to my farm along with all my friends and played Holi in tube well! Today’s pool parties are not even close to the tube well parties I had, which were followed by a heavy lunch consisting of desi ghee vegetables, ghee shakkar and choolah rotis! Holi is always a great time for me.

Ankit Gera – Holi is the most colourful festival. Our life starts with colour, runs with colour and ends with colour; they add beauty to life. There are many difficulties and hardships in our life. We have to make them colourful with our activities. We have to fill everyone’s life with happiness. So we fill all the people on Holi with colours. Great people Say our life always shares colours in all aspects. Morning to dawn, we see many colours. Some colours make us happy some colours make us sad and some draw us to tears. But colours give life to our feelings. Without colours, our feelings have no value!

Mrunal Jain –I am going to play Holi as if there is no tomorrow. I like to play with water, but I use limited water. I like colours and its great fun.  I will be celebrating Holi in Mumbai itself and I look forward to this colourful festival every year. This time, I am playing with friends with gulaal alone. I like to see various colours on everyone’s face and clothes. This festival gives the opportunity to meet so many people when you go to various Holi parties.

Jasmin Bhasin- I will celebrate this Holi with few of my friends. I will play dry Holi because it is very important for us to save water. My fondest memory is that of playing Holi in childhood. We were a joint family so I used to play Holi with my cousins, chacha and chachi. We used to get wet and play with colours. It used to be crazy. I miss that energy in my family.
