Week 42 TRP Report Top 20 Shows : Diwali Festivities Cause Major Rating Dip Across TV Shows; Anupamaa Retains No.1 Spot

By Gossips TV : The BARC Week 42 TRP report has been released, and the festive Diwali season has clearly impacted television viewership, leading to a noticeable dip across almost all major shows. Despite the overall drop, Anupamaa continued to dominate the charts, maintaining its No.1 position with only a minor fall in points.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 held strong at No.2, with Sakshi Tanwar’s much-talked-about cameo helping the show retain its steady ratings. Udne Ki Aasha slipped to the third position, while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai suffered a significant drop, landing at No.4. Tum Se Tum Tak stayed consistent at fifth place.

Meanwhile, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah experienced a decline, settling at sixth. Bigg Boss 19 managed to hold its ground at seventh. Vasudha saw a slight dip to eighth, followed by Ganga Maai Ki Betiyaan at ninth and Pati Patni Aur Panga securing the tenth spot.

Former Top 10 player Mangal Lakshmi dropped badly and spots 11th, while Lakshmi Ka Safar, Aarti Anjali Awasthi, Mannat, and Jaane Anjane Hum Mile occupied 12th to 15th positions respectively, all showing marginal decreases.

Shiv Shakti stood at 16th, with Zee TV’s Diwali special Zee Rishton Ka Mela debuting at 17th. Jhanak faced a major setback at 18th, followed by Binddii at 19th and Saru at 20th.

In the overall GEC channel rankings, Sony SAB achieved a festive victory by surpassing Star Plus to claim the top spot. Star Plus settled at second place, while Colors TV took the third position.
