Colors TV is set to launch its upcoming family drama Mahadev and Sons, which will premiere on January 5 and air Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM. The show will replace Lakshmi Ka Safar in the prime-time slot and promises a gripping narrative rooted in family values, past rivalries, and looming emotional conflicts.
Mahadev and Sons is built around an old rivalry and deeply ingrained beliefs. The story follows Vidya, who marries Mahadev against her family’s wishes. Mahadev, an orphan by background, is a self-made man and a devoted father to his four children—three sons and a daughter. He takes immense pride in giving his children the best education and strong moral values.

Haunted by his past experiences, Mahadev is firmly against the idea of love marriages and believes that discipline and tradition are the foundation of a strong family. However, the makers have hinted that this belief system will soon be tested, as future episodes are set to bring unexpected twists.

Adding fuel to the conflict is Bhanu, Vidya’s sister, who harbours deep resentment toward Mahadev. She despises him for marrying Vidya and believes he ruined their family’s reputation by entering their lives as an orphan. Determined to seek revenge, Bhanu wants Mahadev to suffer the same pain he allegedly caused her family.
Bhanu repeatedly curses Mahadev, claiming that the very sons he is so proud of will one day betray him. Her ultimate goal is to see Mahadev and his sons separated, believing that only then will her revenge be complete. While Mahadev is visibly shaken by Bhanu’s words, he strongly believes that his upbringing and values will prevent his sons from ever going astray.
The central question that now drives the narrative is whether Mahadev’s sons will always stand by their father’s principles or eventually turn rebellious, proving Bhanu’s curse right.
With strong emotional undertones, family drama, and a looming clash between values and destiny, Mahadev and Sons aims to keep viewers engaged.
Mahadev ke “Sons” kabhi nahi taalte apne pita ki baat, par Bhanu daalna chaahti hai unke rishtey mein daraar.
Catch Mahadev and Sons from January 5, Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM, only on Colors TV.
