Handsome and talented actor Park Bo Gum who has impressed viewers with his versatile roles in dramas such as “Hello Monster,” “Reply 1988,” “Encounter,” “Love In The Moonlight,” “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” “Good Boy” and more, may share the big screen with “Through The Darkness” star Kim Nam Gil for a new historical movie!
On August 14, a media outlet reported that Park Bo Gum has been offered the role of Prince Anpyeong in the upcoming movie “Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land”.
In response to the report, a representative from Park Bo Gum’s agency THEBLACKLABEL share that the actor has received an offer to star in the movie “Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land’ and is currently reviewing it.
The upcoming movie “Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land” is based on the celebrated landscape painting by Joseon-era painter An Gyeon. The painting was based on a dream of Prince Anpyeong, who visited a utopian paradise in his sleep and later described the vision to An Gyeon, who then brought it to life. The movie revolves around King Sejong’s sons, Prince Suyang and Prince Anpyeong set against the backdrop of the 1453 Coup of Gye Yu—a pivotal political upheaval in which Prince Suyang ousted the supporters of King Danjong to seize the throne.
Previously it was reported that actor Kim Nam Gil is in talks to portray Prince Suyang, while Park Bo Gum has reportedly been offered the role of Prince Anpyeong.
Stay tuned for further updates on the upcoming movie!
