Indian TV soap operas are all about the love between couple. But few onscreen becomes a part of our life. We eat, sleep and dream about them. They become habit for us, a habit which we do not want to forgo their impression. We are listing few such iconic couples from past who still have their impact on their fans mind in no particular order.
Arnav – Khushi:
The iconic jodi of Arnav Singh Raizada (Barun Sobti) and Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani) from Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon? is a typical Mills and Boons story. The jodi was so popular at one time that few fans crave for them to become a real life couple too. But that wasn’t the scenario. Both are happily married to someone whom they love. The show was aired between 6th June,2011 to 30th November,2012. The show was so popular that it has been translated to multiple languages to be aired in respective countries. Even after six years, fans wish this jodi to return.
RK – Madhubala:
Another quintessential couple of TV screen is Rishabh Kundra aka RK (Vivian Dsena) and Madhubala (Drashti Dhami) in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. Another Mills and Boons story with lot of Indian twists and dramas. The show started on 28 May 2012 and ran through until 9 August 2014 to celebrate 100 years of Cinema. The jodi was famous for their chemistry but followers of the show still feel that this jodi can’t be replaced.
Aditya – Zoya:
Bepanaah, a story of Zoya Siddhqui (Jennifer Winglet) and Aditya Hooda (Harshad Chopda) who met in drastic situation. They had diverse affect of that event and deals in different ways. However, like all other shows they come together towards the end. Though the show was short-lived from 19 March – 30 November 2018 but impact on fans was unalterable. Fans still wish this jodi and few days back it got a trend in India on twitter.
Rishi and Tanushree:
The story of Rishi Singh Bedi (Ssharad Malhotra) and Tanushree (Kratika Dheer Sengar) in Kasam – Tere Pyar Ki is more of a damsel-in-distress. Though, later as story progresses, it changes its course. The show was aired from 7 March 2016 to 27 July 2018 and have its fans on tips to discuss the show. When the show was closed, it doesn’t go down well with the fans.
Dev – Sonakshi:
The love between Dev Dikshit (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi Bose (Erica Fernandes) is exemplary in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. It is unique story of how the situation matters despite of everyone being right. This show not focuses on right or wrong or who is right and who is not. It rather focused on two individuals go in different directions because of difference in opinions. A great love story with doubly great performances. The show was telecasted between 29 February 2016 –2 November 2017 and fans still crave for their return.
Shivaay – Anika:
Another damsel-in-distress kind of story with a twist that the girl is head strong and supremely courageous. Shivaay Singh Oberoi (Naakul Mehta) and Anika Trivedi (Surbhi Chandana) are not meant to be together in Ishqbaaaz (with 3 a’s) but they come together because of circumstances. The show ran from 27th June, 2016 to 15th March 2019 successfully completing around 3 years. The show is still popular and fans wants this jodi back.
Atharva – Vividha:
Two lovers from different financial backgrounds and with totally different situations come together in Jana Na Dil Se Door. This is story of Atharva Sujata (Vikram Singh Chauhan) and Vividha Kashyap’s (Shivani Surve) struggle. The show begins on May 9, 2016 and closes on June 30, 2017. The leads were supremely talented and were very popular among youths. But in this span the couple were a great hit among fans that few fans were not ready to accept that the show has been closed down.
