By Anil Merani: Rrahul Sudhir has grown as an actor. His ability to play an undercover agent in the ongoing Sony series Dabangii Mulgii Aayi Re Aayi is impressive. He effortlessly brings out all the character’s essential elements. I also loved his scenes with Satya (Aamir Dalvi), in which he underplayed his role.
And what about romance? Well, that has always been Rrahul’s calling. I love his on-screen romances, especially with Helly Shah (Ishq Mein Marjawan 2) and Rachna Mistry (Dabangii)
If you remember Rrahul’s initial days (Geheriyan), he was a bit rough but put in the required hard work.
Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 changed the game for him. The makers can now visualize Rrahul in more complex roles requiring deep emotions.
Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal was a good show, and Rrahul did his best, but not all shows can click.
He is the perfect match for good looks and great acting, which TV sorely lacks; most actors want to look good, yaar acting kar lo. Rrahul started his TV career with Rajaa Betaa.
I hope some maker sees Rrahul doing a mythology or a period drama after acing the thriller genre.
Looking ahead, we hope that Rahul also tries non-fiction. Given his personality, we would love to see him dealing with heights, insects and water in Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Alternatively, we would love to see him locked up in Bigg Boss with Helly Shah and Nia Shama (Twisted co-star). Last but not least, we would also want him to shake a leg on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Rrahul has the spark in him which can make him cross over to films, But he yes to iron out some chinks.
He should try some strong OTT shows that show his emotional side. His earlier web outings, All About Article 377 and Spotlight, could have brought him more fame, save Twisted.
It would be fun if Rrahul communicated more with his fans on social media, as today, interaction is the name of the game. You can’t sit in your ivory tower and expect fans to be at your beck and call.
