TVING’s upcoming historical drama “The Love Story of Chunhwa” starring Go Ah Sung and Jang Ryul, has confirmed its cast line-up!
“The Love Story of Chunhwa” is an historical romance drama that depicts the story of a princess who sets out to find a husband for herself instead of marrying the one chosen by her father, the king. The drama also has a hint of mystery as it dwells in the search for the person who drew the princess as the subject of a ‘Chunhwa’, a term used for erotic paintings from historical period.
Go Ah Sung will take on the lead role of Princess Hwa Ri. Princess Hwa Ri belongs to the lineage of the King’s lawful wife and is carefree and rebellious. She dates freely, before declaring to the King that she will find her own husband.
Jang Ryul will play the role of Choi Hwan, the first husband candidate chosen by the King for Princess Hwa Ri.Choi Hwan is a playboy who has both wealth and good looks.
In addition, the cast line-up includes, SF9’s Chani, who previously impressed the viewers in the historical drama “The Queen’s Umbrella,” will play as Sungkyunkwan’s elite scholar Jang Won.
Son Woo Hyun takes on the role of the Crown Prince and Hwa Ri’s eldest brother while KARA’s Han Seung Yeon will take on the role of Ji Won, Jang Won’s younger sister who is blessed with intelligence and beauty.
Im Hwa Young plays the role of Crown Princess In Jeong, the wife of Crown Prince.Do Yeon Jin will star as Princess Hwa Ri’s step sister and rival Hwa Jin, a princess born to the King’s concubine. Kim Taek will play as Prince Hwa Seong, Hwa Ri’s second older brother, while Bae Yoon Gyu will take on the role of genius painter Min Hong.
Furthermore, Park Won Sang will star as Hwa Ri’s father and the King while Park Sun Young will star as the Queen. On the surface,The King and Queen are upright and maintain integrity while protecting their positions in the midst of fierce power struggles but deep down, they care more about their families first more than anyone or anything else.
