The nation woke up to the news of Sidharth Shukla’s death on Thursday. It is said that the actor, who was 40, suffered a heart attack and was brought dead to the Cooper Hospital, Mumbai. His death came as a big shock to everyone, especially his fans, friends, family and the entertainment industry.

Actor Eijaz Khan called him his younger brother, and said, “I loved him. I looked up to him. I looked up to his understanding, approach and fairness. This really feels personal and I just pray for the strength and patience of his closed ones and family. I will always be team Sidharth.”

Ashish Shrivastav, who directed him in “Dil Se Dil Tak”, said he was a lively person. “It is a terrible news. He was full of life and he was a very straightforward person. He did not shy away from saying what he felt, and I liked that quality in him. I have directed him in the first few episodes of ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ and we shared a good equation. I never faced any sort of problem from his side. He was always nice to me. He was a good man and a very good actor. It was a very shocking news and I still can’t believe he is no more,” he added.

Actress Sheena Bajaj called it a shocking news, and said, “Though I have not worked with him, I have met him on a few award shows. We always greeted each other. Balika Vadhu was my absolute favourite. May god give strength to his family and friends. RIP Sidharth.”
