The episode starts with Bu Yeon saying Uk that they were lovers for a long time and the yin and yang jade belongs to them. Jang Uk rubbishes it off saying that the memory doesn’t belong to her and gets upset with her. Bu Yeon predicts that she saw the jade’s memories and believed it to be hers. Both were equally disappointed with each other. Jang U kos upset that it’s not Mu Deok who summoned him using the jade while Bu Yeon is upset that Uk loves only his first love and believes her to be his wife. She tries to put the jade back to the stone tomb but the tomb falls down. Uk again blames her and Bu Yeon refuses to return back until she puts back the tomb stone. Uk leaves not caring about her. It already gets dark and Bu Yeon fears for wild animals. Suddenly she sees fireflies lighting up the place and guiding her the way. She thinks that it’s the jade that summoned the fire flies but it’s revealed that it’s Uk who’s following her and helping her with fire flies. The servants finally find Bu Yeon and takes her home with them. A boat is attacked by a soul shifter and kills everyone in the ship. Only one among the victims witness the soul shifters true appearance and believes it to be Naksu. He gets rescued by other people who says that Naksu’s soul is back. So Yi and Jin Mu’s man also witness it. Crown Prince is taking care of the turtle and believes that he has accepted it to be his owner.
So Yul visits Jang Uk who asks him about why he’s not visiting his place. Jang Uk says about Maidservant Kim troubling him to get married. He says that the inside is very cold contrary to outside. Jang Uk says about the ice stone attracting wraiths and it’s always cold around him. So Yul feels pity for him and Jang Uk jokes that he is no purer and passes sly looks. Dang gu joins them inviting them for food with Park Jin. They tried avoiding but Dang Gu forces them and takes them with him. After a terrible meal Park Jin offers them three deserts out of which two are honey filled while the other one has fish sauce. So Yul and Dang Gu picked the honey one but Jang Uk hesitates to pick the third one. Park Jin advises them that life is unpredictable and should always try everything to find about it. Jang Uk understands his point and tastes the third one but doesn’t reveal what it had. They get the rumor about Naksu being back. The rumors about Naksu created a chaos in the capital with everyone buying charms to keep away Naksu. So Yul and Dang Gu have a meting where they find that no mass murder happened in any boat. Dang Gi is worried about Jang Uk. Bu Yeon is looking at one such charm store when she bumps with Ju Wol. She invites her to her place to give more details about Naksu and her relationship with Jang Uk.
Queen and Jin Mu asks King to let Jang Uk take care of Naksu as rumors are that she’s back. Naksu goes to eh place with Ju Wol when Wol gets the news that Crown Prince is there. She leaves to serve the Crown Prince asking Bu Yeon to wait in her room. Bu Yeon bumps with Crown Prince and identifies him as eunuch. She asks about the turtle and he lies that he didn’t buy it. He says he ahs more better pets with him that there is no need for him to buy the turtle. Bu Yeon compares it with her own life as her husband also doesn’t want her as he has something better with him. Crown Prince lifts her mood saying that he bought the turtle as it has its own charm. He says it’s the same for her and asks her not to not feel low. Bu Yeon gets cheered up because of him and takes her leave. Crown Prince wants to go ack after feeling light with his conversation with Bu Yeon. He learns that Jang uk got summoned and rushes there. King and Jin Mu asks Jang Uk to get rid of Naksu’s soul even though Jang Uk says its rumor. Jin Mu emotionally manipulates him for the same and he agrees. While leaving he bumps with Crown Prince. Crown Prince asks Jin Mu that how can he destroy something which is not present. Jin Mu says that it’s just to keep Jang Uk’s thoughts revolve around Naksu and keep him away from getting married to Bu Yeon. He adds that it’s for their benefit as they could get hold of Jinyowon. It’s revealed that the Naksu story was created by So Yi as she pays the person who acted like victim.
Bu Yeon gets frustrated with Naksu and Uk’s love story from Ju Wol and takes her leave upset. She gets memory of Jang Uk proposing marriage to Naksu and again thinks its jade’s memory. So Yul’s uncle is also present there with his friends and learns about Bu Yeon’s visit. He calls her to make fun of her but So Yul comes there and spoils his plan by insulting him in return. He takes away Bu Yeon with him before she could meet with his uncle. Bu Yeon understands that he’s angry and let him guide her despite knowing that he again lost his direction. She could see the worm inside him and asks him to get it treated but he asks her to ignore it as friend. He also recalls his conversation with Mu Doek as Bu Yeon gives him sweet. Jang Uk is at Park Jin’s place who asks him to go visit Bu Yeon but he refuses. The Queen asks King’s permission to hold a banquet on Naksu’s death anniversary to get rid of Naksu’s fear. Bu Yeon gets invited for the same. Maidservant Kim excitedly wanted to dress her up and made her try multiple outfits. Jang Uk comes there and behaves sweet with Bu Yeon and also asks her to cut her nails through Kim using his sweet talks. Bu Yeon is lost completely as he learnt from Uk that it’s him who helped her with fire flies.
Kim sent the nails to Jang Uk upon Jang’s request. Park Jin visited Jinyowon for a favor from Ho Kyung to protect Bu Yeon. Banquet starts and everyone introduces formally in front of the Queen. The real reason behind the banquet is to kill Bu Yeon using a soul shifter and pin the blame on Naksu which in turn creates enmity between Jang and Jin. Kim keeps everyone busy with fireworks and makes fake Naksu kill Bu Yeon’s clone which will be formed with her nails. It was sent by Ho Kyung. Jang kills the soul shifter thus obtaining the trust of people irking queen. He reports the same to the King. He mourns at Naksu’s death place. So Yi tries making the person who spread the rumor run away but got caught by So yul. So Yul reveals to her that he never took her medicine and is awaiting death. Jang Uk is drinking and Bu Yeong comes there. She comforts him and hugs him but Jang Uk kisses her thinking her to be Mu Doek.
