The episode starts with Radha telling Mastani that she will stay in the stable. Matang says but Mastani is a princess, how will she adjust here? Radha says if she is here for Baji then she has to prove that. Kashi says but thats ethically wrong and if Baji gets to know about it he will get furious. Radha says why Mastani wants to use Baji as her shield all the time. If she wants to win this challenge she would do this on her own. Kashi thinks Mastani should not accept this challenge. Mastani accepts it saying she never learned to lose a battle so she will win this challenge as well. Radha says when she will meet Baji she will go to the room Kashi gave her. But other than that she will stay in the dirty stable.
Radha leaves. Kashi tells Mastani that she shouldnt have accepted the challenge as Baji will be very upset. Mastani says she won’t let him know about that but she will stay here to prove her love for Bajirao. Kashi leaves with Ganga and the latter asks her why she wants to save Mastani? Kashi says she just wants to save her child’s father. Mastani doesn’t know Radha as Radha will never accept her. Radha is trying to break her by giving such challenges.
Mastani might want to use this opportunity to make her place in this wada but she is not aware of Radha’s nature. Noone is thinking about the state and the Mughals will take advantage of their family issues. Kashi says she wants to make things right so that Baji can focus on his responsibilities as a Peshwa. Ganga replies its not that easy for everyone to accept Mastani. Kashi replies it was hardest for her but she did that for the sake of state. Matang tells Mastani that he will tell everything to Baji as he didn’t make any promise. Mastani stops her saying she has to win the challenge to make her own place in the wada. Matang says its all Kashi and Radha’s plan against her. Mastani says if thats true then she knows how to handle the situation. She knows politics too. Radha says she will make sure Mastani fails to win the challenge.
Baji learns from Surya and Chimaji that there are lots of pending work to do about accounts, many moneylenders are asking them to return money and also King Shahu wants details from Bajirao about Bundelkhand war. Chimaji says all are saying Baji is busy in his own issues so he has no time for work. Baji calls for meetings to solve the matters. Kashi notices him and thinks if Baji is fulfilling his duties she will also do the same. Mastani asks for Kashi’s permission to meet Nanashaheb. Kashi says why does she need permission? She can ask Baji for that. Mastani says mother has right on her child first so she asked her. Kashi says if Radha was here she would have insulted Mastani for trying to meet Nanashaheb. Radha would have called her a home breaker. Mastani is about to leave but Kashi stops her saying Mastani has pure emotions in her eyes for Nanashaheb. So she allows her to meet Nanashaheb.
Mastani gets delighted to see Nanashaheb and plays with him. She says he looks like Kashi and he will become greater Peshwa than Bajirao. She takes him in her lap and asks Kashi whether she can meet him frequently. Kashi says yes but not without her permission. Mastani says sure and leaves. Baji waits for Mastani and she back hugs him. She says she came immediately after getting his message. He says he had a hectic day. He says he will call for a celebration for her welcome. He will invite many guests. She says she will make sheer kurma for the guests. Baji hugs her. Kashi takes out Nanashaheb to stop him from crying.
Kashi notices Baji and Mastani hugging each other. Ganga says Baji easily gave her place to Mastani. Kashi says she never loved this Bajirao. He is different. Ganga says she is confused what Kashi wants to do? Kashi says she has taken the decision already. She will reveal it to Bajirao.
