Decked up in their ethnic best, Rajan Shahi’s “Anupamaa” is all set to celebrate its first festival on-screen. The show made a smashing debut when it first aired on July 13 and is getting immense love by the audience.
The show features Rupali Ganguly in the titular role, while Sudhanshu Pandey plays her husband Vanraj Shah. Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra and Muskaan Bamne essay her kids Samar, Paritosh and Paakhi, respectively. It also features Arvind Vaidya, Alpana Buch, Mehul Nisar, Ekta Saraiya and Shekhar Shukla.
The Raksha Bandhan special episode was shot on August 3, and will air on August 6. Apart from witnessing the grand celebration, the audience will get to hear the celebratory song in the actors’ own voices. The makers wanted to add a personal touch to the whole festivity and what’s better than lip syncing to their own recorded versions.
Anupamaa looks beautiful in a red saree, and Vanraj compliments her well in an off-white kurta pajama. There is always a relationship void from Vanraj’s side, but seems he will be forgetting it for the occasion and will dance and sing along with his wife. Even their kids are shaking a leg to the song which seem to be a Gujarati number, which was penned by Divyanidhi Sharma and Aparajita Sharma and recorded with the help of Naksh Aziz and Sargam Jassu.
“Anupamaa” is co-produced by Rajan Shahi along with his mother Deepa Shahi under their banner Shahi Production Pvt Ltd. It airs Monday to Saturday at 10 p.m. on Star Plus. The show also features Madalsa Sharma.
