By Anil Merani| For a while now, there has been speculation whether Star Plus show Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 might lose its 9 pm slot due to low ratings (1.7- 1.9).
At first, when Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey was about to be launched, there was talk that it might take the above super primetime slot, and The Rashami Sharma sequel of Saath Nibhana Saathiya might get shunted to early evening or late night.
However, Saathiya was eventually left untouched, and the Yesha Rughani Manan Joshi show got the 7 pm slot.
The same argument is back with another show, Banni Chow Home Delivery, coming up on Star Plus.
Buzz says that Banni headling Pravisht Mishra and Ulka Gupta might premiere on May 16th at 9 pm, and Saathiya will move to either 6 pm or 11 pm.
In the interest of fair play, this reporter got in touch with new Saathiya lead Gautam Vij, who messaged back saying, “No, it’s just the rumours. We have not informed anything like that yet.”

As per sources, we can confirm that Banni Chow( Shashi Sumeet production) will take the 9 pm slot from the middle of May, and Saathiya will shift to an undecided time slot.
Our money would be 6 pm or 11 as those are vacant slots.
Although it is a matter of pride for Shashi Sumeet to get the king slot, the going won’t be easy for Star will expect Bani to emulate Yeh Rishta and Yeh Hai Chatahien numbers (2.6-2.8 before IPL). A tough ask for leaving Anupamma and Naagin 6; no new fiction show has off late rated big.
