On day 15 of quarantine, Sony Entertainment Television, has given us a beautiful gift. With everyone stuck at home and very less source of entertainment, Sony took the amazing initiative. They released a short film. You must be thinking how can a short film be shot in such a situation of lockdown. As they say – “Where there is will, there is a way!”. Sony came up with this idea that each actor can sit at their respective houses and shoot it. Everyone thought it to be simple editing video where small videos are added on. But here comes a twist, once you play the video you will come to know that each part is shows connected to other in terms of visual too. No one can point out the difference between a normal show and this one.

Famous actors not only from Bollywood but from different parts of india. Actors like – Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt; Priyanka Chopra, Diljit Dosanjh, Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Sonalee Kulkarni, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Shiva Rajkumar, they were all part of this new experiment. It went viral on 15th day of lockdown that is 7 April 2020. This video was everywhere. On every whatsapp groups this video was shared. It was viral within few hours.

The story goes like, Amitabh ji is finding his sun glasses, so he starts asking everyone in the house. Slowly we see all the actors speaking in their own mother tongue and trying to find the sun glasses. In the end when Alia is asked about the sun glasses, she wore it and forgot so she returns it . Then the glasses reach Amitabh ji, but when asked about what he will be doing with these. He answered that he doesn’t need them anymore that’s why he was searching it. This was a mixture of innovation and comedy. This film is also about spreading awareness. After the film ends, Amitabh Bachchan ji tells us how this film was planned in such a way that none of the actors went out of their houses. He also made viewers aware that this film is dedicated to all the daily wage earners, as they are the most vulnerable ones right now. The money earned by this film will go to these workers who are in need of help. As the name of the film suggests, it’s all about whole India being a family that should come together in a time like this. Everyone is equal in a family and hence should always stick together.

In this lockdown period, which is a very difficult and crucial period for India and for the world, it is remarkable to see such new creative ideas. This is the best time will everyone will try their own creative methods to make their way back to TV screens. Will our ITV shows take inspiration from this and shoot your favourite shows too? Well only time and justshowbiz can tell this! So stay tuned for more updates and entertainment! Keep buzzin.
