Anuj Sharma who marked his presence in Padmavat ( SLB Films), Special ops (hot star ), Undekhi (Sony liv) among the others share about his so far showbiz journey, upcoming and more read out!
1. Tell us about your journey so far ?
JOURNEY ,isn’t it a beautiful word ? Yes not only beautiful but it also weighs too much sometimes when you have bigger dreams and when you leave your small town to make it big in the city of dreams . My journey so far has been really beautiful .
You know acting is my first love and when I was in my hometown I used to talk cinema walk cinema eat cinema because cinema is my fuel . When I came to mumbai I had no body here just mere passion and 7 k rupees in my pocket . I landed in mumbai on 14 of feb and straightaways I Went to juhu beach and bow down to the sea god with a rose in my hand ..
the city I belong to is like very spacious with a lot of farms around and mumbai as we all know is little crowded . So I was just looking around and was thinking how when from where I will start and there were like plenty of question on my mind and suddenly my dad called up and when I picked up ,he said beta thik thak paunch Gaya Aur ….TU FAUJI KA BETA HAI HAREGA NAHI ….
This one single line was like a fuel to my body to my would and it gave me that power that made me a fighter along with being an actor . Since then thanks to god and my family I have never looked back . It’s been almost 17 years in the industry and I have worked with few of the finest producers and directors with sheer passion and hardwork . I am happy with the way my life is taking me and I really think that my journey so far is beautiful and it had made me a better person and yes ofcourse my love for cinema has just got bigger and bigger
2. what next for you in terms of work ?
Few really good projects are lined up . I as an actor believes that I don’t want to do a lot of films but yes I want to do quality work . I am very excited for the release of my upcoming film MERI CHIDYA directed by Deepak Garg . Deepak Garg has directed many superhit tv shows like Devo k Dev Mahadev and this film is his directoral debut as a film director .This project is so far the biggest project of my life as an actor so I am really looking forward for the release
3. Where to from here ?
 I belong to Haryana ,land of the agriculture ,I have few politicians in my family , last month I lost my dad he was a fighter pilot , my brothers business man . You know I really thank to god that I took birth in such a family where my parents never stopped any of there child from doing or following there passion . I am in mumbai since 17 years following my passion and I remember once a wise man said YOUR PASSION WILL TAKE YOU TO PLACES , so I am really looking forward to travel and explore world cinema with all my passion and zeal and I know god must have made a beautiful plan for me for my future
4. Is the Industry a difficult place to make it in without a godfather ?
Don’t you think that being born as a human is itself the biggest blessing from the god from the almighty , isn’t? Isn’t THE GOD IS OUR GODFATHER ? Yes you are right that it sometimes get difficult if you don’t have the right contacts in the industry ,you are just moving direction less . But what I have learnt so far is that the biggest god father is your talent ,and it can take a little time but where your passion and talent can take you ,even a god father cannot if you are not talented .
So I really thank god for giving me so much of passion and art in my blood and for making my art reach people . I know it is just the beginning but yes with sheer dedication hardwork and fire inside ,one can reach wherever he or she wants to
5. Did covid affect work for you?
 oh covid ya ,firstly I wanna say that covid has effected almost everyone across the world . Yes commercially many of my projects came to the haul t,but I think actors job is just not restricted to working for the commerical tv films or web . Being an actor there comes a lot of responsibilities ,to work on yourself every single day to become better to grow . So in the lockdown I did a lot of exercise for my inner growth and also I got really fortunate that I also did one international series KARENTINO which has 25 different actors from the globe and from India it was me . We shot at our respective places only but it came out really beautifully and rest I want to say covid has cleared that dust from
Our eyes which doesn’t let us see the reality of life . So just stay healthy and enjoy every single moment
6. Is it difficult to survive here ?
I think life everywhere these days is just the struggle to survive but look around their beautiful world ,look at the sky ,look at water ,trees ,sand ,and just feel the air ,don’t you think these things are enough for the survival ,let me add a little food haha . But I think I am a simple guy ,there is this Hindi dialogue MERI JARURTEN KAM HAI ,ISILIYE MERI BAAT ME DUM HAI
So I believe just to survive anywhere you just have to keep yourself grounded and focused. And then things become easy.
7. Tell us a little about your next projects?
 Beefore I talk about my more upcoming projects I really want to mention about this Webseries of mine JAUNPUR that just got released and it is getting so much of love from
Everywhere . Jaunpur is the story of a gangster from up Munna Bajrangi and I have played the role for the same . Satish Shukla has directed the web series with all the thrills and chills and everyone who is watching it are really appreciating the work by the whole team behind Jaunpur . And about my upcoming projects as I mentioned earlier I don’t wanna do a thousand films ,I want to work with the finest and best directors and producers from the world . So I am taking my time ,listening to the scripts and I have read few really interesting ones and I am in the process of signing few . Just keeping my fingers crossed and just need blessings of you all and as soon as I will sign them I will update you about the same. Though I want to mention some of my work that I really feel proud being part of in these last two years
